Welcome to my teaching portfolio!
My name is Sierra Confer and I teach third grade at a gifted education school in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I gradated from Michigan State University in 2017 with a bachelors in Elementary Education with a focus in Social Studies. While at Michigan State I enhanced my education by teaching in the Netherlands, Germany, and Spain. I moved to Alabama in 2018 and have been teaching in Tuscaloosa for two years.  I will graduate with a Masters of Arts in Science and Mathematics Education in May 2020.

Teaching Abroad
Since the beginning of my teacher education program I have felt a drive to teach abroad. I wanted to experience cultures different from my own and bring back my adventures to my classroom. Teaching abroad has taught me how to adapt to unfamiliar situations, how to reach students of different cultures, and how to teach with your heart.
