My story
Welcome! Seattle born and Michigan raised, I grew up traveling between the two states, sparking a love of travel and adventure in my soul. As I grew so did my love of children and teaching. I graduated from the number one teaching school in the country, Michigan State University, in 2017 with a bachelors in Elementary Education and minor in Social Studies. During my time in college, I was able to extend my education aboard and learn how to be the best teacher I can be in Europe. Teaching in other countries taught me how to be quick on my feet, how to adapt to challenging situations, and how to persevere in times to struggle. I have brought my experiences to the classroom, teaching my students to have a global perspective, to be empathetic to those in need, and to strive towards their goals!
Now living in Alabama with my husband and two cats, I teach a group of 20 amazing third graders at a magnet school across the street from the University of Alabama! Teaching at an International Baccalaureate school allows my students to guide their own learning all the while making authentic connections to the world around them!
